The “gift” I received from Luke Macfarlane

So, people were wondering what Luke sent me, and I finally have pics available! Sorry, it took so long! I received these 2 weeks ago from Luke Macfarlane in the postal mail. It’s a nice grey shirt (medium size), from a company called Icebreaker. Accordingly, Luke wore this shirt on one of the episodes, and I cannot find which episode he wore it on. Anyway, you will see he signed the shirt. He also wrote on a separate card, using Brothers & Sisters material, and thanked me again for the support. I have also included a picture of this as well along with the shirt.

Full size view of the pics can be found under “Miscellaneous > Autographs”.

And, so, finally, after almost 3 months since the HRC (Human Rights Campaign) event that Luke Macfarlane attended back in November, the HRC has printed some excerpts of what Luke said at the HRC Chicago Gala 2010. I have included the two pages in the gallery that covers his interview in the Equality Magazine Winter 2011. They are HQs so they’re kinda big. There are some great stuff he said in this interview that you will want to read. You may want to download the full version. (Remember to use the (i) on the lightbox to access the information page which will bring you to the normal page and then click on the picture to get the full size).

Luke Macfarlane at the premiere of the musical, “Dangerous Beauty”

1

On February 13, Luke Macfarlane attended the Musical Opening Night Peformance at Pasadena Playhouse in California.

From the Pasadena Playhouse website, Dangerous Beauty is described as thus:

DANGEROUS BEAUTY, based on a true story, tells the tumultuous tale of Veronica Franco, a celebrated courtesan/poet of 16th century Venice. Forced to become a courtesan when her family fortune is lost, preventing her from marrying the man she loves, Veronica ultimately embraces the courtesan life because it affords her extraordinary education and access. It is not long before she is the most influential woman in the cultural and political life of her beloved city. As Veronica’s star rises, however, Venice is ravaged by war, plague, and the Inquisition. When Veronica finds herself on trial for witchcraft, she realizes that only her personal integrity can save her. DANGEROUS BEAUTYis adapted from the New Regency screenplay The Honest Courtesan written by Jeannine Dominy, released as the film Dangerous Beauty and inspired by the scholarly book The Honest Courtesan by USC Professor Margaret Rosenthal.
