Gallery Registration Fixed

Due to upgrading Coppermine Gallery to the latest version, v1.4.19, on December 26, 2008, the registration was broken. Anyone who attempted to register and was told there was a “confirmation code did not match” scenario, you can now register. The problem laid in the older versions of Coppermine that did not look for captcha during registration but only during login. Somehow, that part got fixed in the latest version, but they forgot to add the fix to the captcha plugin.

Anyway, everything is hunky-dory again. You may register, if you haven’t done so. Remember, captcha code input is all lowercase letters. Inputting the code in all uppercase will not go through.

To show you that LMFO (Luke MacFarlane Online) has touched international fans, this fansite has got a mention in one of South African’s paid network station, MNET, which showcases Brothers & Sisters on their network channel. The great thing is that someone from their network mentioned us, as well as Luke’s awesome singing voice when he was the frontman for Fellow Nameless. I love how they think we’re an official fansite. Yes!!

We are now running off on our new host server, Dreamhost. No more lousy Hostgator for me.

I have most of the fansite up and stabilized and most should be working, including the chat, poll, calendar, wordpress, forum and gallery. There seems to be loads of missing pics in the gallery, but that will be rectified this coming Wednesday night, when I return home from Las Vegas.

Please check the new IMDB stat number and the older posts.

Luke MacFarlane Online – Going Offline Temporarily

Starting next week some time, Luke MacFarlane Online will be closing for a few days as I will be moving my site to a whole new hosting company. The current hosting, Hostgator, is being a total ***hole about the number of files I have on their server, that I am in excess of their so-called “inodes”. Whatever… I’m canceling my hosting plans with them and moving to a new hosting that doesn’t have this restriction/limitation.

ETA: Check everyday to see if we’re back. I will make a post proclaiming that we’ve moved to a new host server.
